Donations to the Peoria Heights Public Library are greatly appreciated. This valuable support enables the library to purchase extra materials, furnishings, programs, and services. A variety of options are available for consideration.
Memorials – Remember a special person in a lasting and thoughtful way. A book plate with the person’s name will be added to the inside of a book of your choice.
Gift or honorarium – Celebrate an anniversary, birthday, graduation, or other significant event by making a donation and designating how you would like the honoree to be recognized by the library.
Be the first person to read a book – Review a list of books on order by the library and select one or more which you would like to be the first person to read. Pay the discounted price, and you go to the top of the list.
Sponsor a program – Throughout the year, the library provides programs for adults and children. Your donation can help cover the expenses.
Matching gift program – If your company participates in a matching gift program, please remember to increase your support of the library by completing the required form.
Wish List of Furnishings – The library has a list of items from which you can select. If possible, a metal plate recognizing your donation can be placed on the item.
Estate Planning – Consider remembering the Peoria Heights Public Library in your will.
Prizes for Programs – The library offers many programs that depend on businesses, organizations, and individuals to donate prizes of either money or items. Such donations can also be advantageous to business owners by raising awareness of your business and bringing in more customers.
Monetary donations may be mailed to the Peoria Heights Public Library, 816 East Glen Avenue, Peoria Heights, Illinois 61616; brought to the library; or made online by using our convenient E-Pay method. This is a secure method using your credit card. For further information, contact the Library Director.
The Peoria Heights Public Library provides an ongoing Book Sale. Used books donated by our patrons and books withdrawn from the library’s collection are available at bargain prices.
Anyone wishing to donate used books may bring them to the Circulation Desk. Staff will provide assistance if there are large amounts of books. Please check the books to make sure that they are not moldy or in bad condition. Mold poses a serious health risk to staff and other patrons, making the donations unusable. Please throw them away before bringing them to the library. We cannot accept books that are falling apart or water-damaged either.
Other items that we cannot accept include records, magazines, and text books.
Your donations may be added to the collection, placed on the Book Sale table, or recycled.
