About the Event

Join us for a special author event for families and educators featuring an author reading and Q&A with Alice B. McGinty. Attendees can enter their name for a chance to win signed copies of Alice’s books, and will also have the opportunity to purchase books and have them signed by the author following the program. Registration is helpful, but not required.


This event is presented in partnership with the Illinois Valley Reading Council (IVRC), a local council within the statewide Illinois Reading Council serving Mason, Tazewell, Woodford, Peoria, Fulton, Marshall, Putnam, and Stark Counties. IVRC provides opportunities for educators to learn literacy instructional practices and promotes a love of reading for all. The mission of the Illinois Reading Council is to provide support and leadership to all who promote and teach lifelong literacy.
